Hey guys, in this post will learn about how to generate graphical and tabular reports in bugzilla.

Reporting is one of the best tool that can be used to track the progress of the work or to measure the quality of products.

Reports can be generated in many different ways like tabular format, pie chart, line graph, bar chart etc. Once you have created the report, you can switch between any of the reporting views.

Report generation is based on the aspect of setting the plot on vertical and horizontal axes. Multiple Images option is used to get a form of 3-Dimensional report.

Pre-requisite : If you don’t have a bugzilla account, create one here Create bugzilla account.

Login to the account with your credentials.

Step 1: Click Reports in the bugzilla Main-page.

Step 2: In the next window, it shows different options to generate report.

  • Click Tabular Report to create a report in table format with rows and columns
  • Click Graphical Report to create a report in line/pie/bar chart format.

First, will have a look to create tabular reports. Click Tabular Reports.

Step 3: In the next page, you have to set various options to generate tabular report based on your needs.

  1. Select criteria on vertical axis (y-axis)
  2. Select criteria on horizontal axis (x-axis)
  3. Choose multiple images
  4. Classification
  5. Product
  6. Component
  7. Status
  8. Resolution

Step 4: Click Generate Report

Step 5: As soon as you click generate report, tabular report is generated in the next window.

Tabular Report for the product FoodReplicator and Component Voice Interface is generated successfully.

Step 6: Now, will have a look to create graphical reports. Click Graphical Reports.

Step 7: In the next page, you have to set various options to generate graphical report based on your needs.

  1. Select criteria on vertical axis (y-axis)
  2. Select criteria on horizontal axis (x-axis)
  3. Line/Bar/Pie
  4. Classification
  5. Product
  6. Component
  7. Status
  8. Resolution

If you want to create bar chart, select bar chart and click Generate Report.

Step 8: If you want to create pie chart, select pie chart and click Generate Report

Note: Pie chart do not have axes (vertical)

Step 9: Bar Chart for the product FoodReplicator and Component Voice Interface is generated successfully.

Step 10: Pie Chart for the product FoodReplicator and Component Voice Interface is generated successfully.

Step 11: Switch to different views by clicking available options at the bottom of the generated report.

Step 12: To Save the Report,

  • Enter Name for the Report criteria
  • Click Remember Report

Step 13: As soon as Remember Report is clicked, it is saved in the footer.
