How to manage Tags and Profiles in MantisBT?

Hey guys, in this post will learn about how to manage tags and profiles in MantisBT.

Tags are used for better filtering the issues and profiles are used to notify the specific environment.

Pre-requisite : Install MantisBT

Suggested Readings : How to create a Project in MantisBT

Step 1 : Click Manage

Step 2 : Click Manage Tags

Step 3 : In the next screen,

1. Enter Tag Name
2. Enter Tag Description (Optional)

Click Create Tag

Step 4 : Tag created successfully

Step 5 : Click Report Issue

Step 6 : Scroll down a bit to view the Attach tags section and click Existing tags drop-down, it shows the tags that are added.

Step 7 : Click Manage > Manage Global Profiles

Step 8 : In the add profile screen,

1. Enter Platform
2. Enter OS
3. Enter OS Version
4. Description (Optional)

Click Add Profile

Step 9 :  Edit profile by selecting the profile

Note : You can also delete profile by selecting the delete profile option

Step 10 : Click Report Issue

Step 11 : Select profile section will show up the global profiles that are created earlier. So, that we need not enter profile information every time.
