Hey guys, in this post will learn about how to customize columns in bugzilla, which means add or remove columns in the default search screen.
Pre-requisite : If you don’t have a bugzilla account, create one here Create bugzilla account.
Login to the account with your credentials.
As soon as you perform browse or search using simple or advanced search, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page in the retrieved bug list, there will be an option called “Change columns” which is used to customize columns in bugzilla.
Step 1 : Click Change Columns
Note : Before customizing columns, Priority column is not there.
Step 2: In the next window, you have to follow two steps:
- Select a column you wish to appear in the search screen
- Click on the arrow (right-side facing) to move the column left to right.
Note: You can also multi-select columns
- Consecutive items – click the first item, press and hold down the Shift key, and then click the last item.
- Non-consecutive items – Press and hold down the Ctrl key, and then click each item that you want to select.
I am going to select priority and click right-side facing arrow.
As soon as you click arrow, priority is moved from Available columns to Selected columns.
Step 4: Priority column is added to the search list
Note: Likewise you can remove a column by clicking the left-side facing arrow, that will change columns from Selected to Available.
Play with different customizations by clicking change columns:)
